Launched in 2015, Plaid for Dad raises vital funds and awareness to overcome prostate cancer. Hundreds of thousands of Canadians, including workplaces from across the country, celebrate dad by designating the Friday before Father’s Day to wear Plaid for Dad. After weeks of fundraising and events, participants share their photos using #PlaidforDad to show their support and spread the word.

Prostate Cancer Canada’s President & CEO, Peter Coleridge, and Executive Director, Western Canada, Mark Mahl, presented the award today to the firm’s partners Fred, Gary and Brent Arnold at their Winnipeg office.

“The companies in Canada’s trucking industry are among our most eager and enthusiastic Plaid for Dad supporters, with a total of $50,000 raised collectively by 20 carriers and suppliers this year,” Coleridge said. “We commend each and every workplace across Canada that participated in this year’s campaign. Funds raised go toward important early detection and treatment research, and education and support for the one in seven Canadian men and their families affected by the disease.”
