‘Extreme’ support and awareness for more than 20 years!

A true testament to realizing the potential of a support group for men and their families living with prostate cancer, Prostate Cancer Canada Network (PCCN) Brampton quite literally takes support, awareness and fundraising to the extreme.  For more than 20 years, volunteers and supporters of this group have been on the frontlines promoting early detection and education, raising funds for much needed and innovative research, and providing a network of support for those affected by the disease.

Focused on unique ways to engage the public and fundraise, the group's own Prostate Extreme Team organizes several big machine events throughout the year. During the winter, Ontario Sledders are invited to support The Sled Ride of Hope. To kick-start the summer, the fun-filled and often muddy ATV Ride of Hope takes place in June. As if that weren't enough, they also sponsor the Mighty Mouse Dragster Car which can be found at tracks across Ontario all summer long and boasts an exceptional race team all with a personal connection to the disease.

For those who prefer a gentler, but challenging activity, PCCN Brampton hosts an annual charity golf tournament just north of Toronto.

In addition to the above, the group leads the ever-popular Cruisin' for the Cure Canada Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Show that takes place in September. This show has provided free PSA tests to over 2,300 men forty and over during the past nine years. www.cruisinforacurecanada.com

In total, the group has raised close to $100,000 for Prostate Cancer Canada over the years.

Special thanks to PCCN Brampton for your incredible support for over 20 years!

Accepting a thank you plaque on behalf of all the members of PCCN Brampton are (from left to right) Phil Nedham - Mighty Mouse Dragster Driver, Steve Hutton - Prostate Extreme Team Lead, and Jim Dorsey - Cruisin' for the Cure Canada Coordinator.
