TrueNTH Canada has developed - and is testing - innovative projects in locations across the country. These projects all have the potential to make compelling, positive changes in the prostate cancer experience for both men and their loved ones. Visit truenth.ca for details.

TrueNTH Canada Projects

Projects will be developed, pilot tested and evaluated between 2014 and 2017.  Based on the results achieved, the solutions may then be implemented in different regions across Canada.

Disease Managment Online
The Disease Management Online website will provide reliable, complete prostate cancer content, maintained and managed by a team of health professionals and prostate cancer survivors.

Peer Navigation 
The program matches prostate cancer patients and their partners or caregivers with a prostate cancer survivor who is trained to guide them through their care journey. It is accessible in-person, online or by phone. 

Treatment and Decision Support
An online support for patients recently diagnosed with prostate cancer to help choose a treatment that's right for them.

Urinary & Bowel Function Library 
An electronic library to help men understand and manage the urinary and bowel side effects that may occur after receiving localized prostate cancer treatment.

Sexual Health Clinic
An online sexual health and rehabilitation clinic for patients and their partners after treatment for localized prostate cancer.  

Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT) Educational Workshop
A workshop offered in-person or online designed to help prostate cancer patients - and their loved ones - manage the side effects of the hormonal treatment know as ADT.

Lifestyle Management
Provides men with prostate cancer the ability to enhance health and wellness through access to local and online physical activity, healthy eating and mindfulness programs and resources.

Advance Care Planning
A website and resources have been developed for men with prostate cancer, their partners and families that describe advance care planning and invites them to engage in a conversation to explore their wishes.

Managing Cancer and Living Meaningfully (CALM) Workshop
A training program for healthcare providers to help them understand and promote psychological well-being while caring for patients with advanced prostate cancer and their caregivers.
